EYEGASMS · The Grooming House

More than a cut. A culture.

An elevated destination for grooming, personal style and connection. Rooted in the tradition of the barbershop and reimagined for the modern world. Gentleman-inspired, and open to everyone who takes pride in how they show up. Planned first for Houston; not open yet.
The Social Lounge at night: glass-fronted private barber studios glow along both walls while men of different backgrounds talk on black leather sofas under a warm walnut slat ceiling, with greenery, brass details and a large painting at the far end.

01 — Four spaces, one house

Born from the barbershop. Built for the world.

The MainStage keeps the energy of the shop. The Studios give independent professionals a room of their own. The Atelier is where the Grooming Edit lives. The Lounge is for staying a while.

  • The MainStage: a long open barber floor in a concrete-and-travertine building, walnut and brass stations with leather chairs; a Black barber fading a client, a Latino barber lining up a beard and a woman barber cutting with scissors.

    The MainStage

    The energy of the shop.

An open-concept, barber-led grooming floor that keeps the craftsmanship, conversation and energy of the barbershop, in a sophisticated modern room.

  • The Studios: in a private plaster-walled studio, a Black woman stylist finishes long knotless box braids on a smiling client seated in a leather chair.

    The Studios

    Private, and your own.

Private studios for qualified independent barbers, hairstylists, colorists and selected hair professionals, each running their own business.

  • The Atelier: a sculptural travertine counter displays the Grooming Edit in espresso and bone bottles with gunmetal caps; a man in a charcoal overshirt tests a fragrance on his wrist.

    The Atelier

    Discover the Grooming Edit.

A curated place to discover, test and take home EYEGASMS skincare, haircare, body care and fragrance.

  • The Lounge: walnut panelling, oxblood leather club chairs, brass lamps and a stone bar; a diverse group in tailored knitwear and a black blazer talk and laugh.

    The Lounge

    Stay a while.

A refined social room inspired by the modern gentleman's club, for conversation, culture and community.

03 — Arrival

Check-in

Arrive like you're checking into a hotel.

The first thing you see: a lit architectural wall with built-in iPad stations. Check in, find your barber, join a waitlist, and get pointed to the right door.

The Bar: a tall matte black and brass smart vending kiosk headed EYEGASMS, with lit shelves of color-banded products by category, a large touchscreen, a contactless pay pad and a glowing brass E; a man browses on the screen.

A compact smart vending kiosk in the entry foyer: lit, color-coded shelves, a touchscreen and contactless pay. Grab what your barber recommended on your way out. No counter, no staff, no wait.

05 — The Lounge

The Social Lounge

The heart of EYEGASMS.

Closer to the lobby of a great boutique hotel than a waiting room: sofas, art, music, the Media Wall and the people who make a shop feel alive. Privacy without isolation.

The Media Wall: four screens in a 2-by-2 grid set into walnut paneling with lit shelves of books and objects on each side; men on leather sofas watch a game together.

06 — The game is on

The Media Wall

The game is on.

The back of the check-in wall faces the lounge: screens built into the architecture, shelving for art, books and a few EYEGASMS pieces. Never a row of random TVs.

07 — The MainStage and The Studios

Behind glass, or on the stage.

Private studios line the perimeter with sliders onto the lounge, for independent barbers today and, as the house grows, hairstylists and colorists. The MainStage is the open, barber-led floor facing it.

A Private Residency seen through its open glass slider: a floating stone station and tall lit mirror on the back wall, a barber cutting a boy's hair while his father waits on a slim leather bench, a wall-mounted TV opposite.
Concept renderingPrivate ResidencyApproximately 9×9 ft. Mirror on the perimeter wall, glass to the lounge.

Private Residencies

Each furnished studio has its mirror and station on the outer wall and a wide glass slider facing the lounge. Close it for a private session; slide it open to the life of the room.

MainStage: an open bay facing the lounge with five floating stations and tall lit mirrors along the back wall, barbers of different backgrounds at work, and two reclining shampoo chairs at The Rinse to one side.

MainStage

Floating stations and oversized mirrors in an open bay, for guest, weekend and weekly residents. All energy, no glass between the barbers and the room.

MainStage
The Rinse: a barber rinses a reclined client's hair at a black shampoo bowl; floating walnut shelves above hold rolled charcoal towels and unbranded bottles under warm light.

08 — The Rinse

The Rinse

Shared wet services, done properly.

Premium shampoo bowls with reclining chairs, clean towels within reach and supplies organized overhead. Every resident uses it, so no studio gives up space to a sink.

09 — The plan

Open in the middle. Private at the edges.

The lounge runs from the feature wall all the way to Backstage, so sightlines stay clear and the room works for events. Tap a zone.

Is this a barbershop?

It's the barbershop, reimagined: independent resident barbers in private studios and on MainStage, around a social lounge. You come for your barber and you're welcome to stay for the game, the music and the conversation.

Do I need a membership?

No. There's no membership gate. Once we open, anyone can walk in or request an appointment.

How do I choose a barber?

Each resident will have a profile with their specialties, portfolio, prices, durations and availability. You choose; no one is assigned to you.

Are walk-ins guaranteed?

No. Each barber controls whether they take walk-ins and when. Check their availability, or send a request.

When is my appointment confirmed?

When your barber accepts your request, unless that barber has chosen automatic booking. Until then it's a request, and we'll always tell you which one you have.

What do services cost, and what are the hours?

Each resident sets their own services, prices and hours. Venue hours will be published before opening.

To be confirmed

Can I have a quiet, private appointment?

Yes. Every Private Residency has a glass slider. Ask your barber to close it for a private session.

How do I check in?

At the iPad stations on the lit wall facing the front door. Check in, find your barber or join the waitlist; your barber is notified and you can settle into the lounge.

Where is it, and where do I park?

Houston. Our proposed search area is the Heights / Washington Corridor; the address, parking and accessibility details will be published once the location is secured.

To be confirmed

Can I buy the products my barber uses?

That's the plan. The Grooming Edit by EYEGASMS will be available at The Bar, a smart vending kiosk in the entry, on the Media Wall shelving and online here at eyegasms.com. The line is in development and not for sale yet.

Who handles cancellations or a concern about a service?

Your barber runs their own business and sets their cancellation policy. For anything about the venue itself, contact concierge@eyegasms.com.
